Extending the Brand Visual Identity

Dnata required an updated version of a logo ‘dnata catering’, which was inline with the brand guidelines document used by corporate in the United Emirates.

Extending a Logo to New Applications can be Difficult

Evolve created a new brand guidelines document to establish the rules and foundation for the new truck fleet. This included precise sizing, prototyping, corporate communications and presentation materials to the branding and marketing division within Dnata.

When it comes to dealing with large corporations, evolve has the experience to move at the pace of the organization, while remaining agile to the demands that the organization will have during different time zones.

Successful Prototyping

To create a successful prototype requires first establishing the budgetary requirements so that the organization is prepared and fully in the loop when it comes to x-factors such as bubbling, colour variations, and weather-proofing. After just a single prototype, we were able to obtain sign-off. This saved the organization time and money.

The Outcome

After a successful implementation, Evolve has now become the go-to source for vehicles, merchandise, and assets requiring the logo, and extensions for new pieces in the collection.

Challenge

Evolve was commissioned with building the name and brand visual identity for RTO Homes Canada. With many rent to own options across Canada, our ffirm was tasked with making a bigger and more trustable brand.

Evolve developed RTO Homes from name generation, logo development, brand strategy, and go to market strategy.

RTO Homes is a company that has evolved over the years since 1997. For the past several years, the moniker Vancouver Rent to Own was used. The company required a brand refresh and corporate identity that was strong in the marketplace. 

Rent To Own Canada

RTO Homes is a Rent to Own program, proudly introduced by Apex Western Homes, a BBB general contractor with more than 20 years of experience. A Rent-to-Own Agreement is a deal in which you commit to renting a property of your choice for a specific period, with the option of buying it before or when the lease runs out. Our Rent-to-Own agreements include a standard lease agreement with an Option to Buy when the lease term ends.

 

Trusted By Design

A key to the project was to develop a financially focused real estate brand that was fresh and had a bigger brand feel than the other competitors in Canada. Our process included over 80 hours of research, which also included looking across the border in the USA. Finding the industry leaders in the United States helped us to identify the similarities that the most successful RTO companies shared.

The Concept

We developed a logo that looks both financial and real estate-focused while utilizing an abstract icon that represents two hands coming together to form a director frame. This is the universal symbol of planning and the dream of what something can look like.

The Outcome

RTO Homes successfully launched the company in September 2020. So far the company has identified and closed multiple deals under the new moniker and brand visual identity.

The Canucks Alumni is a historic legacy organization. The past alumni players from the Vancouver Canucks required some unity in making certain digital decisions. Evolve joined forces on a pro bono basis, to support healthy change in the organization. We helped build the relationship between The Cooperators Insurance, and the Canucks Alumni.

A Brand sometimes must review how it is communicating to the public. A brand sometimes needs to rethink the approach, and must partner with the right resources to do something truly special. The bond forged between the Canucks Alumni and Evolve Branding was important for both organizations.

Evolve offers free resources to many organizations. We are always strategizing on ways to save our clients money. With the Canucks Alumni, our work was provided free, as part of our brand ethos to ‘make the city even better’. 

Our firm provided 280 hours of work to help secure the deal between two organizations. We designed the presentations, setting consultation and early partnership ideation.

With a great donation comes great possibilities within an organization. The Cooperators generously supported the Canucks Alumni to start a new digital age.

The Outcome

After a mere 2 years of working together, both organizations have experienced positive change. The union forged by Evolve between The Cooperators and The Canucks Alumni has led to an ongoing agreement, ongoing donations, and great value for the Alumni and the Cooperators.

Mixed Reality makes it possible to use a computer or tablet that is a hologram. With full hand and finger articulation, the Microsoft Hololens is capable of seeing the hands type on a hologram. This technology is similar to Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality, except that it can scan and read an environment for a more natural and intuitive experience.

Our mission was to humanize the brand to create an emotional connection with the ceramic technology. This is achieved by developing a brand personality that the ideal client identifies with the brand. We did this with our brand essence video of a diverse range of sophisticated professionals, from all parts of the world to illustrate the elegance and social acceptance of using vapourizers in a modern busy day life. We positioned it as something simple, something fun, something that can add the perfect amount of joy to your busy life. 

Brand Perception

Brand perception translates to perceived value & capability. When a company looks bigger, it gives new potential customers the comfort and confidence that the company can deliver on its promises. Often times customers want to do business with the best company, which is ACERA. The website educates customers how ASCERA is revolutionizing the vaping industry. The website reflects on company size: the quality and quantity of content serves as a value-based platform to educate potential clients, and ultimately act as a sales tool.

Brand Recognition

We create brand recognition by emphasizing the unique selling points, and key performance indicators of the company. This entails getting a better understanding of the business model, and what differentiates the company from the other vape tech companies in Canada. We develop a brand position by researching all of the
competitors and building a strong voice for the brand.

The Outcome

Since the business has primarily marketed itself through word-of-mouth, the referrals have been much stronger with a visually engaging website, a strong media kit, that loads quickly and is design responsive on all devices (looks great on all mobile phones, tablets and computers). Within one month of the brand launch, ASCERA sold over 200,000 units of ceramics.

Summary

Evolve was contacted by ReviveKit owner Tony Jang in 2015. The concept was to create a hangover relief supplement, that was contained in a simple capsule. We rebranded ReviveKit to appear more calming, peaceful and modern.

Hangover Supplement

Hangovers suck. ReviveKit is a hydrating capsule using Milk Thistle, Ginger Roots, Indian Gooseberry, and dietary vitamins to supplement the liver. This helps protect the internal organs that are responsible for hydration, control of nausea and other unpleasant side effects from drinking alcohol.

A modern, calming and industry-leading brand position.

Evolve produced a remarkable brand visual identity system for ReviveKit. We consulted on print styling, paper texture, metallic colour swatch, and also which printer would provide the best cost, value and benefits to the organization.

The result was a timeless brand.

Company

Pontus Water Lentils is a Canadian aquaponics operation specializing in the organic and sustainable production of water lentils and water lentil protein powder. The highly nutritious plant and its botanical curiosities have been studied more in-depth in the last decade – its advantages being realized concurrently with the accelerating narrative of of traditional agriculture’s adverse impact and carbon footprint (such as livestock and meat production). Pontus serves to cater to the growing consumer base shifting from meat-based diets to plant-based diets.

Brand Essence

Pontus is a vertical aquaponics company, that specializes in plant-based protein.

Now, one more time in English.

Pontus creates stacked water trays, that essentially use fish and fast-growing plants to feed each other in a sustainable loop. The fish eat the plants, the plants grow from the fish living in the water. When applied vertically (stacking plant water trays), the ability to save massive amounts of farm land, grasslands, and forests becomes possible. Pontus will eventually build skyscrapers that will feed cities, towns, and villages. The technology can be built anywhere on the planet and even one day in outer space. Evolve was hired to simplify all of this extraordinary information, into a logo.

UI/UX Design

Our goal is to give users an intuitive and pleasurable experience. Good UX design creates a positive experience for your user by anticipating—and fulfilling—their needs.

Design Mechanism

The concept is based on the plant’s mechanism. Since you have to plant lentils in full sun, the growth of lentils is dependent on the cycle of the sun. We can deliver consistent year round harvest because it doubles every 13-32 hours to be harvested everyday – hence the rotation of the sphere represents the cyclical nature of harvesting this plant.

The Pontus icon represents verticality, water usage, cyclic plant growth and also sustainability to the highest level. We use a class oval sphere to represent the renewable nature of our technology.

Brand Positioning

 An effective brand positioning strategy will maximize customer relevancy and competitive distinctiveness, in maximizing brand value. In this case, we positioned Pontus as the go-to plant-based protein to target the biggest challenge; world hunger and future sustainable agriculture for the planet.

The Outcome

Pontus became a publicly-traded company on the TSX (Toronto Stock Exchange) and drew a large amount of attention, partnerships, and investments into the company. Evolve championed the brand visual identity, website, brand strategy, mission statement, and brand voice together with Victoria Bennett from BMW Consults.
