Mission

With rideshare becoming a trend in Canada,  six previously owned taxi companies joined forces to become a trustworthy, reliable and green rideshare solution. Our mission is to give this company a new face, a new reputation.

Brand Essence

What makes Heylr so eye catching? Everything we design has tremendous amount of research and rationale behind every decision we make. In this case, the logo is meant to create a lighting is a symbol to represent efficiency, speed and technology. It also creates the imagery of a circuit board, as its electrons move from point A to point B. This visually demonstrates the idea that cars take energy from the left and right “engines” to illustrate the hybrid concept. Finally, we selected rounded edges to match the wordmark and maintain a friendly and approachable tone of voice.

Go Green. Go Fast. Go There

Heylr is a transportation solution and partnership between several companies. Launched in 2019, Heylr was developed to serve the lower mainland of British Columbia.

When we shout out to get the attention of a cab, taxi or driver, we Hail them. When we greet each other, we say “Hey!”. When you combine both words and add an ‘r’, you get Heylr.

Heylr is your source for easy ride options that are affordable and always safe. their network of drivers come from a combined 150+ years of driving experience. That’s a lot of time, happy customers and kilometers.

With ridesharing, public transportation and driving, they are always concerned about the environmental impacts. Heylr was designed to minimize climate change by offering hybrid and electric vehicles.

The mechanics of design.

Consistency creates trust. Smart design, creates connection. The mathematics of design, allow the human mind to process information in a more coherent way. Symmetry and consistency is key to achieving likeability. We build rules around the logo, so that the brand experience is exactly the same, every time. This is the secret to brand recognition: effective brand guidelines. 

Brand Merchandise

We know that one effective forms of marketing, is when your customers take your branded products home. We view this as planting a seed, so that you stay as their top option in mind when considering which rideshare option to take them to their destination. With this in mind, the design had to be subtle, simple and minimal. 

The Outcome

For the brand’s success it was crucial Heylr looked as big as Uber. Even though it’s still in the start up stage, it looks relatively a strong option in comparison to Uber and Lyft. Our goal is to create a trustworthy, approachable, and ecofriendly image that resonates with the shift in energy consumption.
